The mission

We help Muslims take their time seriously

DayByDay was built on one belief: that every Muslim deserves a life where their deen and their dunya are not competing, but working together. We build the systems to make that possible.

About DayByDay

Where it started

DayByDay grew out of a simple observation: Muslims were struggling not because they lacked motivation or ambition, but because they lacked a system that actually fit how they lived. Generic productivity advice doesn't account for prayer times, Quran, family responsibilities, or the constant pull of the phone.

Abdullah started coaching one-to-one over five years ago. Cohort by cohort, the framework was refined. By the fifth cohort, the results were consistent enough to build a structured programme around them. Mothers, students, engineers, doctors, entrepreneurs, all with the same core problem and the same core solution.

The DayByDay Community is the most accessible version of that programme. Same framework, structured around real accountability, available to any Muslim who wants to take their time seriously.

The founder

Abdullah Ali

Abdullah Ali is a productivity coach based in London. His approach draws from psychology, Islamic scholarship, and over five years of direct coaching experience with Muslims across the world.

He coaches from a calm, evidence-based place. He doesn't hype you up. He helps you understand your own patterns, then builds a structure around your actual life, not an idealised version of it.

His Instagram account (@productivityathlete) has grown to over 93,000 followers, largely through content that talks directly to Muslims about the real difficulties of managing time when your responsibilities span both deen and dunya.

The DayByDay programme is the practical application of everything he has learned and taught over five cohorts of one-to-one coaching.

The framework

The DayByDay Method

The High Performance Programme (HPP) is built across four phases. Each phase builds on the last. The framework has been refined across five cohorts and works across very different life situations.

1

Foundations

Lessons 1 to 6. Understanding where your time actually goes, what's pulling your attention, and the Islamic framework for why this matters.

2

Tools

Lessons 7 to 9. Building the practical systems: timetabling, goal tracking, habit design. The tools that make the framework actionable.

3

Resilience

Lessons 10 to 13. Dealing with setbacks, managing energy, building consistency that survives bad days, Ramadan, exams, and life disruptions.

4

Execution

Lessons 14 to 17. Putting it all together. Long-term planning, identity as a productive Muslim, and sustaining the system beyond the programme.
